TOXICOLOGY LABORATORY

At the Toxicology Laboratory ofour Institution, toxicological analysis are conducted in terms of intoxication in pathological materials (tissue, internal organ, stomach and intestine contents, feed, water, etc.) belonging to deadanimals with the purpose of clarification of unexpected animal deaths by means of residue analyses of pesticides (poultry tissue, fish tissue, honey, egg and raw milk) and anabolic hormones (poultry plasma and fish tissue) in animal foodstuffs within the scope of the National ResidueMonitoring Plan as required by the "Regulation on Specific Substances in Live Animals and Animal Products and Measures to be Takenfor the Monitoring of their Residues

A.DUTIES

1-Conducting toxicological analyses on pathological substances belong to deadanimals and animals on which a necropsy has beenperformed.

2-Within the scope of National ResidueMonitoring Plan, conducting analyses of pesticide (organochlorine, organophosphorus, carbamate and pyrethroides group) and anabolic hormone (stilbenes, anabolic steroids, resorcylicacid lactones and beta agonists) residues in animal foodstuffs.

3-Carrying out research activities.

4-Organizing training activities.
